Mark Maldonado is the founder and principal of Urban Alchemy Collective, bringing over 20 years of leadership in urban planning, community engagement, landscape architecture, and parks and recreation planning. Mark’s expertise extends from leading comprehensive plans, downtown and corridor revitalization initiatives, and small area and neighborhood plans that foster equitable, resilient, and vibrant communities. He is known for his creative vision, technical expertise, and inclusive, consensus-driven approach to translating community aspirations into actionable strategies.
 

Before founding UAC, Mark led the landscape architecture and planning practice for a top 10 global design firm and the largest landscape architecture firm in the country. As both a planner and licensed landscape architect, Mark blends technical expertise with an appreciation for land, ecology, and the cultural fabric of the communities he serves.
