Landscape Architecture Intern

Location: Hybrid – San Antonio, Texas
Internship Term: Summer – Fall 2026

Commitment: Part-time or Full-time (flexible based on academic schedule)

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern to join our interdisciplinary team for a May–December 2026 internship. This is not a “watch from the sidelines” role—interns at Urban Alchemy Collective are active contributors to real projects shaping real communities.

This internship is ideal for a student or emerging designer who is curious, design-forward, and passionate about public spaces, storytelling, and the future of cities. You will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of projects while working closely with senior staff in a collaborative studio environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Landscape Architecture Intern, you will:

- Support conceptual and schematic landscape design for parks, streetscapes, and public realm projects.
- Assist with site analysis, precedent studies, and design research.
- Help produce drawings, diagrams, renderings, and illustrative graphics for client and community presentations.
- Contribute to public engagement materials, vision boards, and storytelling graphics.
- Support the preparation of plans, reports, and presentation decks for stakeholders, advisory boards, and city councils.
- Participate in design charrettes, internal critiques, and collaborative studio discussions.
- Learn how design, planning, and community engagement intersect in real-world practice.

What We’re Looking For

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Landscape Architecture program (undergraduate or graduate).
- Strong interest in urban design, public spaces, and community-centered work.
- Working knowledge of design and visualization tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); experience with Lumion or Land F/X is a plus.
- A strong graphic eye and willingness to explore visual storytelling.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
- Interest in Texas landscapes and regional design sensibilities is a bonus, but not required.
